Fortunately, like most Recluse spiders, they don’t often interact with humans and only bite if they feel threatened. A prohibitory symbol, which looks like a circle with a line or slash through it, means that your startup disk contains a Mac operating system, but it's not a version or build of macOS that your Mac can use. Many of them are aimed at some poor developer by the name of Matt Duncan (although given the context, it's highly likely that Matt wrote the messages himself).

Apple began transitioning to 64-bit hardware and software technology for Mac over a decade ago, and all modern Macs now include powerful 64-bit processors that can run advanced 64-bit apps.
