Welcome to TrackSurfer! This game is my entry to the 26th installment of the Ludum Dare Compo. The aim of my game is to surf as long as possible on the track. If you fail to do so you lose energy but you can regain energy by surfing fast. You get bonus points by taking shortcuts (i.e. skipping platforms) and the difficulty increases over time.
The theme of the jam was “Minimalism” and my approach was to have minimal controls. The whole game is controlled only by moving the mouse.
I made the game using the awesome 2d game engine Löve (http://love2d.org) within 48 hours. For this I utilized a bunch of helper libraries created by vrld (@the_vrld, http://vrld.org) and the music was created using SunVox (http://www.warmplace.ru/soft/sunvox/)
